DRS Training & Control Systems (TCS), Fort Walton Beach, FL, provides engineering, manufacturing, and support of defense and aerospace systems for sea, land, air, and space use. Our product and service areas include electronic control and monitoring systems, aerospace material handling systems, simulation and training systems, aerospace support equipment, contract manufacturing, engineering, and product support. Title: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks to handle all incoming and outgoing materials. Prepares material for shipment by following proper shipping policies and procedures. Verifies all incoming materials against purchase orders to ensure accurate shipment coming in from suppliers.

*Duties and Responsibilities: *

  • Uses systems and applicable documentation to capture, track, monitor, and maintain materials data - ensuring entries are timely and accurate.

  • Receives material from suppliers, loads/unloads trucks and delivers to appropriate department/location - ensuring inventory integrity, safety, and identity

  • Reviews and verifies items for shipment are consistent with orders placed; confirms quantities, destination, and method of delivery

  • Package, ship, and distribute materials in accordance with procedures, regulations, and industry best practices

  • Documents all errors related to orders that are shipped and received

  • Responsible for sorting, counting, packaging, unpacking inventory which is shipped or received.

  • Manually enters data into a computer system for tracking, logging and verifying

  • Performs other miscellaneous tasks related to shipments and incoming materials (i.e., makes copies, files records, labels inventory)

  • Assists in storage and organization of material

  • Maintains safe, clean and organized work environment

  • Ability to build and maintain cross-functional collaboration and communication with internal and external customers, clients, and vendors including: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Trade, Contracts, and Program Management.

  • Works under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years’ experience

  • Government shipping experience highly desired

  • International experience desired but not required

  • Obtain additional training as necessary (i.e., handling hazardous material, operating machinery)

  • Must maintain forklift certification

  • Must be diligent & hardworking

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required
