Responsible for the coordination of appropriate care required in response to changes in patient care needs and other priorities as they arise. Organize time to complete all patient care needs and documentation during scheduled shift. Responsible for notifying the appropriate physician of changes in patient condition, abnormal lab values and any other significant problems that may affect patient outcome. Document all pertinent related information in medical record/nurses notes. Obtain and document accurate height and weight on all admissions. Complete the initial admission assessment and medication reconciliation forms. Document vital signs and record intake and output each shift. Safely administer medications and blood products per SRMC policy. Safely administer and monitor appropriate cardiac unit infusions. Process physician orders in a timely manner. Educate patients and families and document appropriately. Document Core Measures/Standards of Care accurately and maintain required certifications. Assist with the orientation of new staff, float staff and agency staff, as needed. Promote teamwork and respect and responsible for recommendations and implementation of unit policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned by Director.
MUST have valid FL RN license
MUST have 2 years of exp in Cardiac, ICU and/or Medical Surgical units.
MUST have a current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
