Pensacola Bay Support Services, a Joint Venture of IAP Worldwide Services and EMCOR Government Services, has been awarded the Pensacola Base Operations Support Contract.
The Stationary Engineer operates or maintains stationary engines, boilers, or other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings or industrial processes.
Essential Job Functions:
Operates and maintains one or more systems which provide an establishment with such services as heat, air-conditioning (cool, humidify, dehumidify, filter, and circulate air), refrigeration, steam or high-temperature water or electricity.
Observes and interprets readings on gauges, meters, and charts which register various aspects of the system's operation. Adjusts controls to ensure safe and efficient operation of the system and to meet demands for the service provided.
Records in logs various aspects of the system's operation.
Keeps the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order. May direct and coordinate activities of other workers (not stationary engineers) in performing tasks directly related to operating and maintaining the system(s).
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Associate Degree in Accounting is preferred, with three (3) to five (5) years as an Accounting Clerk.
Knowledge & Skills:
Must be able to direct and coordinate activities of other workers (not stationary engineers) in performing tasks directly related to operating and maintaining the system(s).
Must be skilled in the repair of electronic control equipment.
