THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FINAL APPROVAL OF FUNDING.

Provides project support to the 96 Cyberspace Test Group Test Support Division, Eglin AFB, FL, for the Science and Technology (S&T) portfolio. Duties will include:

  • Act as liaison to Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), Headquarters Air Force, Major Commands, Developmental and Operational testers, and Joint agencies for 96 CTG S&T projects.

  • Coordinate efforts of multiple S&T project teams to ensure project success and compliance with OSD execution and programmatic requirements.

  • Conduct independent assessments, data collection, test automation, and reporting functions, to ensure projects are on track to meet established milestones.

  • Maintain currency with new testing tools and test strategies. Identify existing and develop new test tools and strategies for testing.

  • Ensure robust performance analysis on S&T-developed systems to support government acceptance and technology transition activities.

  • Work with organizational experts to develop original concepts and compete for external agency funding to design, develop, and implement new technologies.

  • Ensure timely, complete, and technically accurate proposal submissions in response to OSD calls for nomination.

  • Provide support to project teams during the project planning, execution, and reporting phases.

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.

  • Support program management activities to estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities relating to a development team.

  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams.

  • Maintain close coordination with the prime customer and user for the capabilities to be acquired by the project to ensure timely understanding of needs and changes to requirements.

Required Experience

Master’s Degree in a technical field and a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience is required. Twelve years of applicable experience may be substituted for a Master’s Degree (Total of 22 years) or eight years of applicable technical experience and a technical BS Degree (Total of 18 Years).

  • In-depth knowledge of C4ISR and cyber testing of systems (sensors, platforms, ground radars, multi-domain command and control).

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of the DoD acquisition and systems engineering processes.

  • Excellent organization, decision making, and communication skills.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, acquisition programs, or special projects.

  • Experience executing tests in Live Virtual Constructive Distributed Mission Operations environments.

  • Experience planning, organizing, managing, and overseeing cost, schedule, and technical performance of Multi-service technology development programs throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Program management experience to include developing funding justifications, funding profiles, spend plans, schedules, and implementation plans.

  • Knowledge of DOD avionics, weapons systems, cyber test with Hacker knowledge or experience, functional test and evaluation, and systems engineering.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent communication and customer interface skills required.

  • A current and active Secret clearance required and be eligible for a Top Secret clearance.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in test design, data analysis, analytical studies, test plan development, and reporting for DoD programs.

  • A current and active Top Secret clearance highly desired.
